Stock Idea: Microsoft (MSFT, $25.48)
(May 16, 2011 update: All future stock posts will appear on my new subscription-only website at www.GoodfellowLLC.com. Please visit!)
I made a post about Microsoft on February 1, 2011, suggesting that traders buy around $24/26.
What's changed? Well, the consensus EPS growth projections are a little higher, at 21.4%, 8.2% and 8.3% for fiscal years 2011-2013. Based on lower share price and higher projected EPS, the PE is lower at 9.99 and the dividend is higher at 2.51%.
The stock is in the same trading range it was in February, at a buy point right now. In addition to recommending this stock for medium-term traders and long-term owners, I would recommend this stock to people who would be happy to earn 10% in the short-term. I bought this stock on Friday, April 1 at $25.35 with a short-term trade in mind.
